1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Sammen, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay—but you won't be able to use our service.

2. What Sammen Is

Sammen is a platform for planning and organizing gatherings, available as mobile apps (iOS and Android) and a web app at sammen.app. We provide the tools; you create the moments.

3. Your Account

If you create a Sammen account:

• You must be 13 or older
• Provide accurate information when signing up
• Keep your login credentials secure
• You're responsible for activity under your account

Using Without an Account (Guest RSVP)

You can RSVP to events without creating an account—just enter your name. Guest RSVPs can be edited from the same device/browser. Event hosts can remove guest RSVPs. The age requirement (13+) still applies.

4. Acceptable Use

Whether you have an account or are RSVPing as a guest:

Do:

• Use Sammen to plan real events with real people
• Respect other users and their privacy
• Follow applicable laws in your area

Don't:

• Use Sammen for spam or commercial solicitation
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload our services
• Impersonate others or create fake events

5. Content & Privacy

You own your content. By using Sammen, you give us permission to display and distribute your events to the people you invite. We'll never sell your data or use it for advertising.

6. Using Sammen & Supporting Development

Sammen is free to use. Really free. Create unlimited events, invite hundreds of friends, use all the core features. No tricks, no sudden paywalls. Events support up to 500 attendees—more than enough for weddings, parties, and community gatherings.

You can use Sammen on your phone (iOS/Android) or on the web—your events and RSVPs sync everywhere you're signed in.

Sammen+ Subscription

Want to support Sammen's development? Sammen+ is our way for you to help keep Sammen independent and ad-free while getting some cool extras. Currently includes Custom Lists for organizing your connections, with more features coming based on community input.

Subscription Details

• Monthly: Support us month-to-month
• Yearly: Support for a full year (with a nice discount)
• Cancel anytime through the app or your device's subscription settings
• Your subscription helps us stay independent and keep improving Sammen for everyone

Auto-Renewal & Cancellation

Subscriptions auto-renew so you don't lose access to your Custom Lists. You can turn this off anytime. When you cancel, you keep Sammen+ features until the end of your current period.

Refunds

Subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play follow their refund policies. Changed your mind? Reach out—we're human and we'll figure something out.

Family Sharing

Sammen+ works with Apple Family Sharing (and similar features on other platforms where available). Share your subscription with your family group.

Early Supporter Rewards

First 2025 users: Invite 15 friends to unlock Sammen+ for life.

All other users: Earn free Sammen+ periods by inviting friends who join. Successful referrals stack up to 12 periods of free access. Share Sammen, support the community, and enjoy premium features on us.

Referral rewards are credited automatically when invitees sign up. Details available in-app.

Enterprise & Large Events

Planning something huge? Events over 500 attendees need our enterprise plan. If you're organizing conferences, festivals, or corporate events at scale, reach out—we'll make sure Sammen works for your needs while you support our development.

Platform Store Terms

If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, their terms also apply. Your Sammen+ subscription works everywhere you're logged in, regardless of where you bought it.

7. Service Availability

We strive for 100% uptime but can't guarantee it. Sometimes we need to perform maintenance or updates. We'll try to minimize disruption when we do.

8. Liability

Sammen is provided "as is." We're not responsible for events organized through our platform or interactions between users. Please use good judgment when meeting people.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify registered users of significant changes via email and post updates on our website. Continued use of Sammen after changes means you accept the new terms.

10. Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our privacy policy. Guest RSVPs are tied to specific events and are removed when the event is deleted or when the host removes them.

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, in honor of the Danish concept of 'hygge' that inspired Sammen.
